Raspberry Ketone Nigerian Scam

Graham Marshall - Tuesday, May 29, 2012

Here is how the scam for Raspberry Ketones purchased off the internet works:

You will pay for a product from Raspberry Ketones from a website for about $2.95 or $4.95, using your credit card.

You will be re-directed over multiple websites when trying to purchase.

Eventually, you give your credit card details for postage.

After about a month, your credit card statement will start to show a deduction of about $85 per month going forwards.

There is very small print somewhere on the site that by making the "purchase" you are agreeing to a monthly supply at this $85 a month.

If you don't cancel in the allotted 14 days or whatever, you get no refund and you are totally unable to find any means of contacting the scammers.

You will be unable to get back to the site you made the purchase from or to track down anyone to contact.

I have reported this "scam" to ASIC and Consumer Affairs in Australia.

They then take money out of your card each month as an auto-ship!

This is none of our business at the Risk Tool Box, except these scumbacks are using the "comments" section of our blog to post links to their sites in an effort to "optimize" from our highly-rated website.

We delete their links immediately they appear, but it still pisses us off!

Unlike our website, which is recognised as local Australian, these people operate outside of Australia so Aussies have none of the protection that would be afforded from a (Australia) site.

Please be aware, don't purchase Raspberry Ketone products off the internet.
